Test out of certain classes?

Published

I am in the process of applying to nursing school next Fall. I took Chem in High school, and had the option to take A&P and a college level Med. Terminology class. Had I taken those, could I have tested out of them and not had to take them in college?

That is interesting that you still have to pay for the credits even though you took the CLEP test, I haven't run into that. The schools I am applying to doesn't do that, I plan to test out of human growth and development. Just shows that you really have to look into everything when you decide to do something like this. It is accepted at over 2900 schools according the web site, and some great schools from where I grew up. It is a widely accepted test, but there are going to be some schools that may not accept it. I just won't go there :)

At the schools I applied to everyone has to take a nursing entrance exam. One school it is the NET and the other school makes us take the NLN. You should call the school and ask what their requirement is as they all vary.

I know it's the NET, but I am wondering if the ASSET is also required. I would think not, b/c the NET covers math and reading, but that's what my question is.
