Tennessee wesleyan fall 2014

Published

Hi!!

I'm new to the site and I was wondering if anyone else is applying to Tennessee Wesleyan for fall 2014?? I'm excited to begin my journey as nurse, but very nervous as well! Has anyone finished the nursing program there? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Hey! I found this off google, but as of last night, I'm officially attending Tennessee Wesleyan! Are ya'll excited?

Congratulations!!! I sent my $50 to hold my seat a few weeks ago! Now that I received my acceptance letter I want to know more information. The wait is killing me.

Congratulations on the acceptance letters! I am currently a junior at TWC-FSN you guys will love it! Its is great program, you get tons of clinical experience:up: I have learned so much in 2 semesters. Just want to offer some advice...remember to take it day by day, you will understand what I mean once the semester gets going. Its a different kind of studying. Study to understand concepts don't memorize things for the exam because you will actually be asked to apply the content on exams and the concepts will build through out the program. This is something that took me a while to get use to. Review your drug dosages this summer. They will recommend a book to help review. During our orientation they actually held a math review session where we could ask questions and get things cleared up.The math test on the first day is really simple but very scary because you have to get a 90 or higher to pass and stay in the program. If your don't pass the first time you will get a chance to take the test later that week.(or at least it was that way for my class). You guys will do great! Can't wait to see you all in the fall. If you have any questions fell free to ask and I will do my best to help.

Volrn I sent you a PM.

hey edotts87 i read your message but it wont let me reply :(

I was wondering how to get a hold of someone already on this so I'm glad you posted volrn. I was wondering what our schedule would look like for the first semester. I'm trying to plan a couple of trips to away UT games so even more specifcally in Sep and Oct, if you can recall that long ago. I'm really interested in if you had class on Friday or if you got out early. Mrs Nancy gave me all kinds of info when I went to look at the school for the first time but I did not write down the details of typical class weeks.

Also, I wish there was a way to add everyone on facebook or something before the first day so we are not total strangers.

Ksargen I know we have fall break October 11th. I think it's Thursday to Sunday.

Ksargen I'm on fb! I'll send you a message!

Ksargen I'm on fb! I'll send you a message. Vorln do you have fb?

ksargen4 We did have class on Fridays which is over by 1210! At the start of the semester you will have lecture and lab. Around September you start your nursing home rotation and then move to you hospital rotation. You will typically have exams on Monday, Tuesdays and Fridays. From what I remember on Mondays you we had lecture from 8-4 Health assessment, lunch, pharmacology, and role preparation. Tuesday typically had health assessment lab, Wednesday you either have foundations lab or clinical depending on what group you are in. Thursday if you had clinical wed you have lab today. Friday foundations and pharmacology. A lot of people in our class went to UT games. Its just up to you . September and October are pretty busy months from what I remember...all of nursing school is busy. Once your start hospital rotations things can get a little crazy. I don't know how much this helps but if you have any other questions feel free to ask. Our class was planning on getting both the junior and senior class together before school starts in to try get to know everybody.

edott87 I do have a fb!
