Thank you for the response! I actually saw that on the CBON website. I still wonder, however, if submitting in person with LiveScan fingerprints will expedite the process vs. submitting everything online with fingerprint cards. I understand people can't walk out with temporary licenses the day-of anymore; I just wonder if in-person is quicker.

Hello fellow nurses,
I am working as a travel nurse and I am in the process of applying for a California license. I heard the fastest way to get a license is to fly out to the board of nursing and submit everything there, using LiveScan fingerprinting instead of sending in a fingerprint card and sending in your application in the mail.
My question is.... Does anyone have experience doing this? Is it faster to do it this way? On the CBON website, it said that the processing time for temporary licenses was 4 MONTHS!! So, I didn't know if this 4 month wait period applied to applicants who go there and do it in person.
Any personal experiences would be great to hear!
