Hey all!!! Just wondering if there were any other LVN's in Central Tx that will be applying to next years ADN program at TC? Or if anyone bridged recently that can give me some advice?
I am finishing up my last prereq this summer, and I am already soooooo nervous about applying! A few of my co-workers had applied this year and didn't get accepted. That makes me nervous! One has been an LVN for 17 years! I've only been one 5, so my anxiety level is through the roof!
I have a really good GPA, so I really hope I get accepted, but as far as I know, they only accept 35 bridgers.
Anyway, I just figured I could reach out and find others out there in the same boat as me, that way we can go through this together!
*Summer*
Summer is a DOLL!! I havent got to personally meet her but she will respond as soon as she gets on here :) Im glad you found this thread- Temple College students are RARE on here it seems. Good luck. I start the LVN program and I know no one going there yet, my girls that followed on here will be going to Taylor as it is for now. So its nice that there are as least people up stairs
Yeah i am ecxited as well. I was shocked that i got in being my first time applying and living in austin
which is out of district but now i am super excited. Do you know if the bridge program is intense like the Lvn was? i hope not because i am trying to see if i can still work untill the fall semester when its more classes. Am super excited. i have been an lvn for almost four years now and i am ready to get this past me and meet new people.t
Way to go! A friend of mine named Donald JUST graduated from the bridge. He said it was the easiest year ever. He said it is nowhere NEAR as intense as LVN school, because we don't focus skills or learning about diseases. He said the hardest thing was learning to think like an RN and develop care plans.
I will be working throughout the entire thing. Bleh. But, I am doing pedi home health now, so its way easier to study. You sound like me! Only, Ive been an LVN 6 years. I feel like its been 60 years though. I feel old!!!! I cant wait to meet you during orientation!
Girl yeah I guesss people always try to scare each other that the Rn bridge is hard but I heard it is not because it is material that we already know and are familiar with. We will be alright and we will make it until the end even if we have to loose sleep over it. Yeah I cant wait to meet you on orientation as well. We just have to keep an eye out for the blue pass from the BON coming from the mail. The drive is not bad either for me because am in cedar park so its just 45 minute drive. Am super excited. Got tired of being supervised by an RN lol.

hi summerblessing my name is Maggie. I have been following this forum with you guys for two days. I have been accepted as well into the bridging program at temple. I was trying to get some info to see if they make it hard for you to pass or they help you. I went to a different lvn program so it kind of scary starting somewhere new where you don't know anyone. hope to hear from you soon.
