Hi! I am also a new grad and just started on a tele floor. It is very hectic and there is a lot to learn, but I think it will be a great learning experience overall. We are given a 12 week orientation with a preceptor and will gradually work our way up to 6 patients.
Oh, and to answer your question, you can absolutely do it! Have confidence in your self and don't be afraid to ask lots of questions. Good luck!:wink2::wink2:

I have been working on the Tele floor for five months now. One and a half months off of orientation. I have 4 pts on evenings and up to 5 pts on nights. I am managing it well. Most of the staff is very helpful. There are seven new 3-11 nurses (including myself). The scheduler is very good at matching us new nurses with experienced nurses so that we are never all new nurses. I made a couple of little mistakes this month that an experience nurse helped me with. I was upset and worried that I couldn't do this on my own but she helped me and told me about some of her bad days.
You can definately do this. Just take each day one at a time.
