Re-taking the TEAS depends on the requirements of the program you plan on applying to. Do they consider re-takes or do they just look at your first attempt?

I'm trying to figure out the same thing. I want to retake it but I don't want to hurt my chances. I have all A's in my science except aplab2 which is a B. Sigh!!
so I spoke to someone at Suffolk County Community College (that's where I applied to) and the advised me not to retake the exam. I have a C+, B+, A- and a B for my prereqs and haven't been able to get in. Im thinking of retaking the class with the C+ but the councilor said no to that also.
so i am registered to retake the teas v test this coming tuesday and was wondering. Has anyone retaken the test?
If so, did any of the questions reoccur or is it all new questions?

Unfortunately, the questions will all be different. They give you new questions every time because otherwise you could memorize the questions you don't know while you're taking the test, go home and look the answers, and then re-take the test-- essentially, cheating. However, most of the concepts they covered should be the same. And don't be disappointed in yourself for having to re-take it- you were SO close to the program score, and I know plenty of awesome nurses who failed the TEAS the first (or even second!) time around and went on to pass their NCLEX and get a job. Good luck!!
