There were word problems yes. They were the kind that give you more info than you need and you have to be able to pick out what you need to solve the problem. Just read through them carefully and make sure youunderstand what they are asking for and don't let all the info overload freak you out.
Hey everyone!
I forgot that I hadn't posted an update on here.
I did very well on the TEAs and breezed right through it. The math and english portions of the GED book were perfect. It went over all of the stuff I needed without delving too deeply. The only thing I would recommend is using something else for the Science. I did well on my science part, but that's only because I'm a bit of a nerd and have always excelled in science.
Ok, that's all. Good luck to everyone else!
From what I have gathered here, the science is so random and drawn from such a broad area of information, it's an either you know it or you don't kind of situation.
I hadn't thought of using a GED book prepare.. but I'm sure there are a lot more GED books in the used bookstores than there are TEAS books. :)
I have the ATI book for TEAS V.. it wasn't much new on Amazon.

Hello there everyone,
I have another TEAs question to add to the massive collection already found here on this forum. My counselor recommended that I purchase a study guide from the school bookstore to help prepare for the test, especially the math and science. When I explained to her that I don't quite have $45 to spend on a book I'm only going to use for one test, she was very understanding and said she'd let me in on a secret- the TEAs test is very similar to the GED test- minus the History and Writing. I haven't taken the GED, but I bought a prep book from Half Priced Books for about $7 and WOW! The Math and Science sections are a really good review! It really jogged my memory.
Does anyone on here have experience with both the GED and the TEAs? Are they similar enough to be able to study from a GED book?
Thanks!
