Hello, I am a pre-nursing student. I am looking to start the nursing program in April. I have taken the TEAS test already(didn't study) and I didn't get the requirement score for my school of choice. So, basically I have one month until test date to study and to try and get into the nursing program.
I did the weakest in science and math. Need improvement in the other sections also. I really wasn't ready for the test. This time, I want to really go into it and just get this over with. I need advice on how should I study for the TEAS test. If I give myself one month o study, how exactly should I break down the 4 sections into studying. I don't want to overload my brain and cram everything, then forget.
So, I need help coming up with a schedule and study plan for each section. So far, I was thinking of focusing on math first, then science, and other sections.
Maybe one/two weeks (math/science) and the other two weeks(other sections)
any advice?

First purchase the ATI TEAS V Study Guide. The guide has the exact material that will be covered in each section of the test and mock tests (ATI is the company that writes the actual TEAS V test).
Week 1: Reading Section
- Read the whole section in the study guide.
- When finished, do section practice problems.
- Go back and read the sections in which you missed practice problems.
Week 2: Math Section
- Make sure you can calculate fast. Practice increasing your speed by doing multiplication & Division flashcards...etc (remember you cannot use a calculator).
Week 3: Science Section
- Make flashcards for all bold vocab words & their definitions in the section.
- Study your flashcards.
Week 4: English & Grammar Section
- Make sure you know and can apply grammar rules to answering test questions in this section.
Hope this helps. If you don't study each day of the 4 weeks, you will not be prepared for the test and not pass again. Make sure you REALLY learn everything in the ATI TEAS V Study Guide by repetitive exposure to the material. Having the test material in your long-term memory will allow you to quickly retrieve it during the TEAS V test and not run out of test time.
