TEAS Study Schedule
Hello, I am a pre-nursing student. I am looking to start the nursing program in April. I have taken the TEAS test already(didn't study) and I didn't get the requirement score for my school of choice. So, basically I have one month until test date to study and to try and get into the nursing program. I did the weakest in science and math. Need improvement in the other sections also. I really wasn't ready for the test. This time, I want to really go into it and just get this over with. I need advice on how should I study for the TEAS test. If I give myself one month o study, how exactly should I break down the 4 sections into studying. I don't want to overload my brain and cram everything, then forget. So, I need help coming up with a schedule and study plan for each section. So far, I was thinking of focusing on math first, then science, and other sections. Maybe one/two weeks (math/science) and the other two weeks(other sections) any advice?

Tips on moving out? Soon to be LPN Student.
Hello Ladies & Gents. I have a dilemma. Right now, I currently have one semester left to graduate with my AA and then I begin the nursing program(LPN) in December. I am excited, at the same time nervous as heck! Anyway, I am 20 years old and I've been thinking about moving out for a while. Growing up, I've never seen eye to eye with my dad. (verbally abusive, didn't sign my birth certificate, didn't show up when I was born, doesn't like me going out/staying out late, etc) but, that's far beyond the point. Now, we've reach a point, where we are amicable. (Hi, Bye) that's pretty much it. My mom she's a drama queen, loves drama, always in your business, loud, coming in/out room when I'm sleeping, etc. There's about 5/6 of us in this house . I am by nature a easily stressed person and I DO NOT need this while I am in Nursing School. However, I'm in the process of trying to better myself and life(fixing my credit) and etc. And I don't think it'd be a good idea to MOVE out now right before I am starting a nursing program. So, I decided by next December(after my nursing program) I would move out by then. I'm giving myself basically a year. It's a lot that needs to change and be done, before I move out. But, I am so overwhelmed. I don't know where to start! I don't know if I should wait til after the LPN program or after the RN program?(planning to go on to a bachelor degree for now, hopefully soon a Masters) Does anyone have ANY tips/advice? What should I be doing now, preparing, buying and getting fixed before next December? Thanks so much, love jess.

What jobs can I get at a hospital besides a CNA?
Hello, I am currently a pre-nursing student. I graduate in Decemember and also begin the nursing program. Right now, I work at a shoe store, which I mean, I don't plan on working there past December. I was wondering is there any jobs I can work at a hospital besides a CNA just as a pre-nursing student? thanks.

Would you attend a Accreditted Nursing School?
Hello. I am 20 and I am going to graduate with my AA in December & then will be joining a nursing program at an a accredited Nursing program (Sheridan Tech in Fl) . Originally, I started really well off with my prereqs and then I was going through personal issues and stopped caring pretty much. I started getting C's, withdrew from anatomy, then failed lab. So, right now, my only option is going to do LPN at a technical school. however, for some reason, I am kinda disappointed and embarrassed. Like, I could have been at a University, if I tried harder. If you couldn't get into a private school or university, would you just go to a technical school or switch majors? I've had schools tell me switch my major, but I won't. I've heard good things about the technical school. my best friend's mother went there and graduated with her LPN, some people on this site have talked about the school, & my best friend went there too for something also. opinions?

Failed Anatomy Lab.
I really should be angry at my self. Few weeks ago, I had a B/C in this class, to receiving an F. I was four points away from a D and still received an F. BTW, this is my third attempt. First time, withdrew(since, they are prerequisites), you must withdraw from both. This time around received a B in lecture. Due to failing, Lab, Anatomy 2 with Lab got dropped from summer. Luckily, I was able to pick up lab again. I graduate in December and I have Micro & Anatomy 2 left. Now, before, I had a strong feeling, I was going to fail Lab and began going around to colleges about my options left. Originally, I did think I would earn a D. they told me,if I received a D, don't even apply. I'd definitely get rejected for Fall. Possibly accepted for Spring. Ever since Last semester, I've been struggling after serious crisis and wanted to change my major. but, it seems as if, everyone around me is rooting for me and has more hope in me, than I have for myself. SO, I think I'll give another GO. Last semester withdrew from A*&P 1, got a C in chemistry with Lab, Math(Liberal arts)this semester got a C in Nutrition & Statistics **But, I did just also got Certified in CPR** But, my god, I got an F! so, I was wondering what are much of my options? I need some good advice. I was going to go for the BSN route. but, it seems like I might have to switch to LPN Route. Two options. What do you guys think? Continue with my prerequisites and go the LPN route at a Tech school(it's actually a very good one), I am just not too fond of the class schedules. But, my friend's mom actually graduated from there, she's in LPN, very good comments, my friend went there for medical assisting, and I've seen a couple threads on here about the school. *Option two** Continue with my prerequisites and take all the classes I received a C in over and apply to BSN programs and hopefully, I get accepted, then I'd be graduating next May instead of this December. Any advice? thanks

I will never be a nurse. Should I just change my major?
Thank you, I think that's the best option right now. I'm going to get a tutor.

It's too late to withdraw any other options?

I will never be a nurse. Should I just change my major?
Hello all, don't mean to sound negative, but I am so discouraged at this point. I am graduating in December with my AA/ADN in Nursing. I wanted to go to a four year university and apply for a bachelor, even maybe one day a master. Now, I have to go back to the drawing board and might just go the LPN route instead, which I REALLY DIDN'T WANT. Now, here's the issue. Ever since last semester and when I started my science classes, I've been struggling. I let my personal life interfere with my school work and suffer. I was going through major issues with my now ex(boyfriend) ,whom was abusive(emotionally), I was hospitalized, and etc.. I was taking Anatomy with lab, chemistry/lab, math. I ended up with drawing from anatomy. I was going to get a C in lecture, but , since they go-hand and hand, I had to withdraw both. I ended up getting a C in Chemistry with lab! And math!! I went from a 3.48 to a 3.26... OKAY, NOT too bad, but , you know the deal when they recalculate your GPA. Now, I am taking Anatomy over with lab, Nutrition, STATS, Sociology. I orginally planned to make Straight A'S. Right now, I have a B in STATS, Sociology,78.2 in Nutrition, D In LAB & I'm good with Lecture. I am so stressed with the lab class, the final is next week. And pretty much, I am between a D AND C. Either way this isn't good for me. I really don't know what should I do? With draw? get the C or D? One of the schools, I wanted to apply to, It says no repeats in science classes due to failure. So, I would be automatically rejected. I pretty much can't withdraw from one eitehr only.. So,the option would be get the C. I will now have 4 C'S . I am going to take Chemistry/Lab & Math over, but remain with the C in lab. What I really my chance of becoming a nurse? Should I just change my major? My parents are going to be so disappointed.

Hesi or teas? Which first?
Hello, I am a pre-nursing student, who will be finishing in December. Now, I will be applying by the ending of the year. I have basically only two schools in mind. however, I am also thinking of planning back up schools. Majority of the schools, require the TEAS. while, only one requires the HESI. so, I was wondering which test should I take first? and my study time frame? 1 month-3 months? I did hear the hesi is easy and I do have the book already... confused though.

Failed first Anatomy 1 Exam ....Depressed.
Hello guys how are you? Today, I took my first Anatomy exam on Chapters 1, Atlas A, 3 & 4. I studied for about 2-3 days (first mistake I know) . And last night, I studied from 7:30-12:a.m. I even studied this morning on my way to class. I probably made about 50 index cards with the definitions. My own study guide and all. I realized a couple mistakes. But, I was so sure, I would at least get a low B or C the most. NOT A D!!!! Mistakes. 1. Studying last mintue. 2. Not good studying habits. I mainly focused on certain chapters, totally skipped DNA/RNA, Plasma Membrane, & Cell cycle which was MAJORITY OF THE TEST. I focused so much on the definitions, oppose to the functions. 3. I have ADD when it comes to studying. 4.Not comphrending the material/actually going into depth. My stomach sunk when I noticed my test score. I felt like I wasn't all so prepared, but a D. My god! I got 55 right out of 93. After, I went to my Prof's Office and he let me go over my test with the answer key, we spoke. He told me I still have a chance to get an A. However, I have no "room for anymore errors" pretty much. However, I can't help, but feel so hopeless. I contacted some students about their studying strageties and maybe forming a study group. We have 3 more test, homework, and pretty much clicker questions. I am not so concerned about the homework or in class questions. More of the test. Any one have any tips/advice please?
