TEAS Results

Thank you for those kinds words of encouragement. Unfortunately, I failed the entire test AGAIN. Now I really feel useless especially with a 4.0 GPA and with an AA degree. I am just a horrible test taker.

Here are what the requirements are:

TEAS 40% | GPA 45% | RESIDENCY 5%

READING: 80%

MATH: 60%

SCIENCE: 60%

ENGLISH: 70%

And now drum roll please (prepare to scream at the horrible scores I received):

READING: 59.5%

MATH: 30.0%

SCIENCE: 39.6%

ENGLISH: 53.3%

And I studied from the book, with a friend, AND took plenty of the tests provided by the ATI. STILL I miserably failed and mind you - I really took the time and didn't BS the test. *sighs* I have one more try left but I know I will fail again.

Im sorry to hear that. I think one major thing about the teas is there are a couple of right answers..but carefully examine the question and answer what it specifically asks for. When I took it I literally read front and back of the ati guide twice, took online practice test, read the mcgraw hill guide, some of the kaplan study guide, memorized electron negativity of every element along with other specific stuff. I say that because you really gotta get specific with know this stuff. Practice the problems under time restraint. i feel reading and grammer is either you got it or you dont..but science and math can be mastered. Gotta keep trying! apply to a school that doesnt put much weight on the teas. gluck!

Kayteegee, have you thought about applying for an LPN program or looked into other programs that don't require a teas score? Your GPA is AWESOME, it shows that you're able to handle coursework and learn. There have to be programs out there for you. If you're willing to move, I think you'll be able to find a school you can get into. Do you usually test this poorly or is it just the TEAS?

If you really want this, you'll find a way. Good luck!

I would like to say that your first step is getting rid of the negative out look even before you get there. When you walk into the testing center, leave your negative thoughts behind. Before going in tell yourself that you will pass. There is power in positive thinking. Wishing you well

No I never test this poorly except on the TEAS. Someone told me to read the ATI book from beginning to end. So I shall do it. Hopefully it won't be in vain. Thanks for your awesome words of advice. Time to study like there is no tomorrow. ;D
