I thought I'd share this. My A&P II instructor started meeting with groups of students to help them prep for the TEAS and it got so popular that the school made him turn it into an official course. It used to be free and now it's $175, but considering it's a 6 week course while Kaplan charges $300 for 3 hours, it's still a good deal. He has had some students go from really dismal scores to really good ones in the course.
I'm already in the nursing program but if I'd been able to do this before taking the TEAS I would have. He is a really good teacher, very good at explaining stuff. There are concepts I've learned about multiple times in different classes but still didn't really get but suddenly make sense after he explains them.
So anyway, it's a 6-week-course that starts soon, meets on Monday nights for 2 hours. Here's a link to sign up, it only works in explorer: Test Prep for Healthcare (TEAS) Classes - Century College, Continuing Education
Or you can click here: Courses - Century College, Continuing Education and look for the health and helping profesions category.
Hope this doesn't seem like spam or whatever, I just thought it would be helpful especially for all the MANE students out there that may not be aware of this if they don't go to Century. I told him I would be posting this here- the hope is to fill up at least one section or the class won't take place, but he's had his group meetings have a ton of people so that shouldn't be a problem. If this section does fill up, there will probably be Tuesday or Friday sections opened as well.
