TEAS Exam

Published

Hi everyone!

I will be applying for admission to the Fall 2010 R.N. program at CSN. I am going to meet with a Health Programs advisor in September. Can anyone tell me how I would go about registering to take the TEAS exam? I would like to get a head start on this or at least acquire all of the information I need so I'm not freaking out at the last minute.

Thank you in advance!

Go to the link http://sites.csn.edu/health/nursing/nursing-rn.html on the left hand side there is a link that says TEAS click on it and it will open up a PDF that has all the info....

some more thoughts on the teas.... the book that ATI provides is very helpful. it's usually cheapest on their website ($36.00) but you might get lucky and find it used. any science subjects that you haven't learned, i would familiarize yourself with. i almost didn't pass the science section because of the life science and chemistry portions and something like a "chemistry for dummies" book from library would've improved my score

The TEAS test is pretty simple. However, I would strongly advise you to brush up on your Biology. Buying a GED practice test book at Barnes & Noble might help also. I heard many people had difficulty with the TEAS test, but in my opinion the NLN was a lot harder. However, it's different for everyone.

I wish you all the luck. :)

Hey cupcake. I have the teas book if you would like it. I start the RN program in Sept. so I no longer need it. Let me know if you want the book.

I am currently a pre-nursing student at CSN. I got the book from ATI and am planning on taking the TEAS in Sept or October. If anyone is interested in a study group let me know. I do fine with the reading and english but not so well with the math and science.

nice user name...lol!

Hi! I just took the TEAS on 8/1 and I passed! (barely! But good enough to make the minimum grade req'd). I'm applying for the spring 2010 sem.

I highly recommend using the ATI study guide. I found the real test similar to the practice test on the book. The only thing I had difficulty with was the chemistry questions, I didn't anticipate how much chem questions they have on there.

Overall, I suggest getting the book. It Helped me a lot. Practice, practice, practice! And manage your time when you're taking the practice test. Goood luck!

I was also worried on the math part when I took the test. But the ATI study book helped a while lot. Make sure u are familiar with the formulas. Anticipate a lot o. FrActions, ratio/prop, and percentage. Dfinitely review your science, I felt confident because I thoght I knew my chem but I had brainfarts. So make sure u review your science really well.

The reading and English is pretty easy, just be careful though because 80% is the minimum gr req'd for reading.
