Teaching plan

I really need some help on a teaching plan:confused: I'm trying to do a teaching plan on teaching a teenager self breast exams, I'm not really sure what I'm going to use for my goals/outcome. I also am not sure what questions I should come up with so the teenager can evaluate my teaching job. Please help. Anything at this point would be of great help:yeah:

Thank you so much:)

I've got pretty much everything done except the teaching content. I'm having a hard time putting my content into words :(.

For the teaching info, I'd suggest a list and hand out for the patient.

For the questions re: how you taught- how you worded things, if they felt they knew more after your presentation, if they felt they knew the importance, if they felt they would now do the self-exam, if you were confident in your delivery.....

I have the teaching information. I actually used my fundamental nursing book for that. I have most of my plan done it's just lacking the teaching content (what will be taught) I just have a really hard time explaining myself on paper. The only other part I need to finish is the evaluation of teacher's effectiveness. I wish I could just post my whole plan here....

You can. :) It would mean a bit of typing.

For the evaluation, just ask yourself what you want the girl to learn.... I'm not sure how long it has to be, but break it down into specific questions. THe more specific, the more you can draw it out :)

As for having trouble explaining yourself on paper, maybe start as if you're writing a letter. Don't think of it as teaching at first- this might help you get it written without it feeling so awkward. ?

:)
