I'm planning to apply to tcnj's nursing program as a transfer student from a 2 yr college. I won't have my associates when i appy. Is their a waiting list for their program, if so how long? and how many transfer students get accepted? Also will i start out as a sophomore or junior?

I also applied as a transfer graduating this may with my asociates. I called and they said I should hear from them by April. Have you heard anything yet?
No I havent! If we get accepted do they have a waiting list? It says their only requirement to get into their nursing program is to get accepted to tcnj...I'm assuming they have a limited amount of seats.
Yes but the school is really hard to get into. I got a scholarship to seton Hall and Georgian Court. I got denied from Ramapo they said that they didn't really accept transfer students for nursing and I also got denied from William Paterson. I'm waiting on a few others. Which other schools have you applied to ? Acceptance/rejection aswell
I was going to apply to rutgers but you have to have 24 rutgers credits inorder to transfer in. So if we do get accepted into tcnj, how long is their waiting list? I'm also assuming they give preference to their students over outside transfers from CC's
Rutgers told me they don't accept outside transfers and if we get accepted to tcnj we won't have to wait unless they put us on the wait list
Yeah tcnj's nursing program requires a minimum 3.0 GPA and you start out as either a freshman or sophomore depending on the prereq's you took. It's not possible to start as a junior. I'm assuming though an outside CC transfer student needs at least a 3.5+ to be competitive. However this probably depends on their applicant pool. For instance I feel if they have a lot of their own students meaning TCNJ students applying then they will probably receive priority over CC students. It only makes sense. Also people that apply with medical backgrounds Like PCT, EMT, Combat Medics, Medical assistants, nursing assistants, ect..will likely get chosen over applicants with no medical backgrounds. so i'm sure the competition is fierce. Can I ask what your stats are?
