Howdy all ya'all TCC applicants for the Fall 2008 semester.

I spoke with the secretary at the nursing department today and she said that letters will be going out next week as to whether or not you were accepted into the program. Just a little FYI to keep your eye on the mail (if you're not already doing so!)

Orientation is still May 2nd!

Best of luck to everyone!

Thanks for the info.

Letters are in the mail today (4-12-08).....I'm IN!!

Good Luck to everyone!:yeah:

Woo Hoo...I got in too. Now after THAT hurdle I guess we have to get through semester 1. I'm scared but really excited!:yeah:

CONGRATS!!!!!!

How exciting. I will be in your shoes next year waiting on the letters. Wishing everyone the best of luck in their next 2 years of school.

Would you mind telling me what your Teas scores were. I am taking the test in September and wondering what I need to be competative.

I didn't do as well as I had thought I would in the science portion of the TEAS but overall scored in low 80's. I think what saved me was I took most of the pre-reqs and had a 4.0. The waiting game is stressful though, I wore a path to my mailbox in the last month!:nuke:

My GPA was as follows:

TEAS: 82 % overall

chem 1406: B

Micro: A

AP 1: B

AP2: A

PE: A

Intro to Soci: A

Comp 1: B

Comp 2: B

Life span Pshy: A

Speech: A

And my elective was an 'A' but they don't count them!

Every semester varies on what the GPA needs to be and what it doesn't need to be. I know this....if you have all pre-reqs done (not enrolled in, not currently taking) but COMPLETE, it is a HUGE advantage.

You'll get there just stay focused and pray! It's taken almost 2 years just to get all my pre-reqs done (I've taken other classes too like Stats and Nutrition for my BSN in the future), it just may take some time to get accepted espically at TCC.

Best of luck to all you future RNs out there! :redbeathe:rolleyes:

Thanks for the information. It is so nerve racking to think about this I cant imagine what I will be like when it comes time to apply. Cant wait to follow everyone through their process in the program.

Best wishes
