TB Test Paranoia

So, I had to take a TB test at work which was administered by the nurse onsite. Well, she withdrew the substance from the vial to test me with, stuck me with it, and then the needle got displaced and had to redo the test by using the SAME needle she had just stuck me with to withdraw more from the vial and stuck me again. Is this safe to do, since she uses the vial for everyone? Shouldn't she have used a new needle????

To jme-daisy;

Please let your supervisor know what happened with your TB test. You did not get one! In FL you have to take training and be certified to administer and read TB tests; I thought that it was a huge waste of time for me and money for my employer. After reading this thread, I have revised my opinion! :eek::eek:

The nurse who gave me mine dried the alcohol off with a clean 2X2....ummm....you're supposed to let the alcohol evaporate on its own. Drying it off with a clean 2x2 defeats the purpose of the alcohol. (What I should have said, not what I said.)
