Tax and pay rate question

hi,

i'm starting my first travel assignment through AMN. my recruiter is out of the office today and i have a question about my pay rate if any of you can answer.

in my contract my "Regular Rate: is listed as $20.09. My questions is, is this amount listed before tax, or after tax?

i could be wrong but i thought over the phone i was told that my hourly rate was $29.50 and that after taxes my rate would be $20.09. i am not sure if i am correct or if this $20.09 will still be taxed.

in the advertisement for the job i applied to it said the pay was between "$28-$32" so i am thinking that the $29.50 is my actual pay before taxes?

Any info would be appreciated!

Thanks!

That is the taxable rate (before taxes). All your tax-free stipends make up the balance.
