I am new to traveling, will be starting in a few months, I have my house up for sale and am hoping to use my RV for housing. Does anyone know if I use the RV if the housing stipen will still be tax free?

No, it will not. To qualify as tax free you must have a legal tax home (NOT just a legal residence) elsewhere. There are multiple factors in qualifying this but one big one is the duplication of expenses. In other words you are paying the costs to maintain your tax home while temporarily residing elsewhere. With the rv it goes with you - no duplication.
There is more to it than this, so I'd suggest checking a site such as TravelTax.com for good basic information on this.

You might want to research becoming an independent contractor (1099 Status).
