Has anyone negoiated with a Travel Nurse company that quotes a higher wage per hour but does not pay for housing or travel. They say the bottom line is better this way because only a portion of the hourly rate is taxed. This makes it difficult to determine the actual pay rate. I plan on requesting they give me a housing stipend per month, travel reinbersment amount and what my hourly rate is. Any thoughts????

Sorry, but not correct. All of it is then taxed, and it is up to you to provide the proof for the deductions.

Not a good way to do things at all, at least in my opinion. All they are doing it giving it all to you, and let you get the headaches from it.

Thoughts? Look at other companies and you will see that most do not do things like this.
