So I think we are well into the application period so, surely it is time to start up this board. I can not wait until we hear back in May. Trying to keep very busy while waiting. Good luck to everyone applying!! Hopefully we can keep each other company here and celebrate our successes!!
I sure hope it's earlier too! I feel like I'm on a see-saw, up and positive one moment and discouraged the next. At least this part of the process will soon be over, then we can be anxious about something else. lol
Does anybody know when classes start this Fall? I think my summer school class finishes Aug 16 so maybe Monday the 20th??? B&Csmom, I've never heard of Amazon student, need to check that out!
Here we go into another week. I just wanted to share this with all of you...
“A person should set his goals as early as he can and devote all his energy and talent to getting there. With enough effort, he may achieve it. Or he may find something that is even more rewarding. But in the end, no matter what the outcome, he will know he has been alive.” Walt Disney
So while we wait and the wait is difficult, at least we are living, pursuing our dreams. We've set goals and, if these goals don't come to fruition then we will figure out another reward. It will be nice to know one way or the other but, if this doesn't end up being "THE" dream for some of us then we can reassess and set our new path/goals. I'm hoping this is our week!! Good luck!!
Advice needed! I have just wrapped up my last semester of Pre-Reqs and now need direction on the next step... I have not had the best luck talking to the advisors at TCC. I have not taken the HESI yet (I didn't know I need to) and I have found out that the next open session is in September.... Is it possible to take the HESI then and still apply for this spring or am I going to have to wait for the fall session to apply?
Info about the application process can be found at this webpage. You should be able to apple in September for the spring semester. You schedule the HESI exam at the Trinity River testing center. Good Luck!! Tarrant County College - Apply for Nursing
Hey ladies! Hope you all had a nice, relaxing weekend and did not worry too much about the upcoming week! I was wondering if any of you knew what kind of jobs I could possibly get working at a hospital without a degree. I want to get my foot in the door and get into the medical environment. I have tried to do some research but it seems I get a different answer every time I look. Do any of you currently work in the medical field or have you before? Do you know of any good jobs for a *HOPEFUL* nursing student? Any suggestions or info you have would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you in advance! Good luck to ALL of you this week!! =)
Jesus you can also take the HESI at a Prometric Test Center and take it as many times as you want until you like the score you made the only downfall is that is cost about $85 each time you take it. Or you can wait to take it at TCC which will be much cheaper but you can only take it once per application period on campus. For my application I was not able to schedule at TCC since all seats were taken so I took it at a Prometric Testing Center. Just a thought ... Good luck :)

I think I was just so sure yesterday was the day, I was shocked all over again. Now my inner Eyore is coming out and random thoughts are running through my mind. I am really hoping they do not wait until Friday! Also, on the shopping front Amazon student has some pretty good deals. I keep waiting since it is free for six months I don't want to enroll until I am sure I will need it!
