Can anyone give me some target symptoms for lamictal. Client has a history of seizures. A DX of dementia early onset with depression. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know what you mean by "target" symptoms, but Lamictal (lamotrigine) is an anticonvulsant that is used for seizures, bipolar disorder and in Lennox-Gastaunt syndrome. My drug reference lists investigational uses of generalized tonic-clonic, absense, atypical absence and myoclonic seizures.
Thanks. For my clinical paperwork we have to list what symptoms this medication targets. I am having a hard time. I used depressive mood, falls and seizures but I am not sure that is correct. What do you think

I would guess primarily as an anti-seizure, and secondarily as a mood stabilizer, but it may depend on what other meds were prescribed.
