Tamucc - Spring 2019

Published

I decided to make a forum for Spring 2019! Applications are opening up soon! Let me know whos applying!

I am scared of my application being returned as I heard they are very peculiar on tiny details, so i'm hoping for good news because I had no help filling it out even by advisors. I also took pharm and patho in the spring before I took my HESI! I'm assuming you mean my application scores? sorry if not what you meant, but they are :

Overal GPA: 3.6

Science GPA: 4.0

HESI Composite: 84.29

HESI Critical Thinking: 850

HESI Reading: 90

I am nervous about my critical thinking and overall HESI score not being high/competitive enough but I thought applying was worth a try, worst case scenario I'd have to wait for summer you know?

I got the same score for the CT part. I honestly do not even know how they score it and it is frustrating. All of your stats meet the idea criteria so I would not be too worried. It still is nerve racking for sure though. I was able to resubmit my application today! I hope we make the cut offs/averages. How was patho/pharm? Was it challenging taking them together?

It's definitely a lot of time management and studying especially for Pharm but you can definitely do it, Health Alt is the easiest, pharm takes some extra work but once you get those meds down you are good!

Does anyone know when we might be hearing back or where to check for any updates? I know it won't be till later that they send acceptance letters but anyones know anything?

my advisor told me the committee meets mid to late September, then send out email notifications the second week of October.

Hey guys! I'm sure we have all applied now if we were trying to get in for Spring 2019! Anybody have any idea on when they start meeting to revise applications. So nervous! Goodluck everyone!

So i applied for spring 2019 and am going to start my pharmacology and health alterations classes this fall. Any advice?

Hesi comp: 87%

Hesi Reading:89%

Hesi CT: 860

Science GPA:3.25

Overall GPA:3.6

Hope my scores are good enough

Those are awesome scores, you got good chances, as far as pharm and health alt, study study study especially for pharm, those meds kick your ass but they're doable, focus on categorizing meds as they usually have many of the same side effects in the same category, you got this!

I believe they meet up next month so I want time to fly by, i hate waiting! lol

Has anyone heard if they started pulling applications already?

Sorry for the late response, pharm is tough but patho has a lot more info. But other then that I'm doing good!

I haven't heard anything but am checking daily. I believe that we should know within the first week of October. Keep me updated if you get in
