TAMUCC fall 2017

I've noticed there isn't many forums about the nursing program at tamucc...

I plan on taking their two online classes this summer and then start the nursing program in the fall! We can share the process here :) My stats are

GPA: 3.54

SCIENCE: 3.67

HESI: 87.7

CRITICAL THINKING: 880

No I'm taking my patho and pharm at UTA. I am also applying there in June.

I take the Hesi Thursday at UTA and im a little confused. I am reading TAMUCC Hesi requirements and it says take all 11 sections and it doesn't list physics and I thought there was only 8 sections. What am I missing? Are there different Hesi test? Did i sign up for the wrong one and have been studying the wrong test. It says Hesi A2.

It's all of the topics except physics. And be sure to get the hesi that includes critical thinking bc that's required.

Yes.

I just called the testing center she said that it is not offered and she would have to order it. The problem is for UTA i have to take the test before June 1st. It sounds like im going to have to take this test twice one for UTA and one for TAMUCC. I don't know if TAMUCC would just let me take the crtical thinking section separate.

I've asked that question before bc I had to take it twice

You have to take all sections at the same time

edit- actually cal and ask because I remeber they said if you have taken it the CT once before and liked your score you don't have to take that section again so it may be the same for just take critical thinking

I'm going to call Monday morning and see what they say. I'm so stressed out, I'm just ready to start nursing school. Lol

I spoke to the testing site, they are able to add critical thinking for only 10 dollars more but she said I still only have 4 hrs to take the exam. Is that the normal allotted time?

Nooo....I haven't even applied..I will apply in June but i don't know if I will get in..my Hesi scores wasn't that great today..:(

Hi, I'm not sure if any of you know the answer to this. I emailed a nursing advisor but haven't heard back yet. But, when calculating the last 60 goals hours do courses that you've retaken, ex. Psychology D grade to Psychology A grade, count twice or does only the higher grade get kept? Then would you leave out the lower grade and keep going back on your transcript until the next class?
