TAMUCC ELine BSN

Nursing Students Online Learning

Has anyone completed or applied to the E-Line BSN program in Corpus? If so, was anyone already a LVN? I am already a LVN and just didn't know if it made any difference if I did the entire program, or if any of my LVN experience/classwork will count towards it.

Also, any opinions from those in the program or those who have completed it?

Is it 100% online minus the clinicals? I live in Houston and have heard there are some hospitals such as the VA hospital or Texas Women's that work with TAMUCC for the clinicals.

Any advice or comments would be great!!!! Thanks :yeah:

hello all,

I too am applying for the eline program but for Summer 2012. I wanted to know about how long it takes to complete the program online if you do it full time. I am brand spanking new to this forum and dont quite know how to use all of the features so if you could please email me with your response to [email protected] that would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, Im currently in the program. Where did you do your psych clinicals in central texas? Im in the central texas area and they have been unsuccessful in setting up my psych clinicals!

I did my psych rotation at DePaul next to Providence. FYI, to set up my clinicals, I called the site/hospital/clinic and put them in touch with A&M. All they had to do was get the contract ironed out. The contract I had with DePaul may be expired now, so if I were you, I would call DePaul and talk to the DON about it. Good Luck!

I was told by the school that DePaul would not return their calls so Im kind of in a jam. Hopefully something can be worked out!

Hello! I was accepted into the eLine program but so far have been unable to find anyone that would do clinicals. I tried calling the school for help, but the no longer have an advisor for the eLine Program. I also never received a call back from a different advisor that I spoke with about clinicals.

How did you go about getting places to do your clinicals?

If you are around the Waco area, I can give you the contact person at Hillcrest. I am still waiting to do my psych clinicals! I have been waiting about a year! I only have 6 leadership clinicals to go.

I tried to reply to your message, but it would not let me. I am in the Houston area. From what I learned during my interview, they are changing the way the program works. Starting this fall it will be semester bound and you will have to take a full course load each semester. With not having any clinicals set up I was worried about passing the class within the semester so I have not registered yet . I am looking info other schools now, but I was really hoping ELine would work for me.

Knowing what you know now, if you could go back woukd you still choose this program?

Also, how many clinical hours are required for each class ?

The Eline program has a new advisor. I spoke with them today and they were very helpful and informative. If you send me a PM with your email I will send you their contact info. I can't PM on this board yet.

So if I'm understanding correctly, the program has been restructured and you can no longer complete one course at a time? I'm interested in this program, but I also have a few questions. I hold an associates degree, bachelors degree, and masters degree, so I'd like to get some opinions about whether or not this would be a good fit for me. I don't see any references on their website about people that already hold multiple degrees.

I've looked for ABSN and direct entry MSN programs via distance learning/online, but the options are very limited. This program caught my eye because it was mostly online with clinicals being performed in your local area. It also appealed to me because I'm still lacking a few of the prereqs and unless I'm misunderstanding the website, some of those can be completed as part of the program. Any advice would be appreciated.

BUMP---Just curious if anyone has any feedback on my previously posted questions/comments.

Has anyone completed this program recently? I am considering it, but am having a difficult time understanding the entire structure. Any comments would be really appreciated :)!
