Thanks for starting a thread. I'm hoping that's a good sign of less people applying this year. I applied to the Bryan-College Station campus. This is my first time applying to Nursing School. Prior medical experience is 12 years as a Navy Hospital Corpsman and then the last 8 years as an Advanced EMT. I also applied to UT Tyler for their 2nd Degree Program. Here are my stats.
GPA:
Prerequisite Coursework GPA: 3.73
Nursing Science GPA: 3.86
Total GPA: 3.80
HESI:
Cumulative: 94%
Math: 98
Reading Comp: 94
Grammar: 92
Vocab: 96
A&P: 92
Critical Thinking: 860/1000
Thanks for making this thread! I've been wanting to chat about this whole process. I'm pretty nervous about getting in. I know its really competitive. I have a Bachelors of Exercise and Sports Science and I've been a Lactation Consultant for the past 4 years. I have a science GPA of 4.0 and I got a 93.6 on the HESI.
I'm hoping we'll hear something soon. If ya'll get any notifications, let us know!
Nothing. I've read every post on allnurse from last year and the year before regarding acceptance letters. And best guess we should hear back in about two weeks (around the 16th). One post also mentioned they saw their status on the TAMU AIS website a few days before they were notified by email. I've been looking on there everyday and the "My App Is Incomplete" never sits well with me. But, according to the School of Nursing website that is perfectly normal.

I haven't seen a thread for the accelerated 2nd degree program at TAMU for Spring 2018, so I decided to start one! I'm definitely nervous about getting in, and I'm sure other people are too. I thought this would be a great place for us to wait it out together!
I applied to the Round Rock campus with a 3.9 GPA and a 96 on the HESI. I don't have any medical related work or volunteer experience, which is what I am most nervous about.
