Hello... I am currently an RN Nursing student in Tampa florida and am considering moving to Ohio next year once I pass my FL boards in May-June.
Can anyone tell me what I'd have to do to be able to work as an RN in Ohio once I move?
Would I need to pass Ohio boards in that state as well?
Can I work under a 3 month rule while taking the exam for that state (if needed).
I don't want to move then realize I can't work and pay my bills if I should have pursued the state licensing before I moved. Is that even possible... ?
Signed,
Confused and seeking help....
(any help is appreciated, i can do ther esearch if i can get a good point in the right direction) :typing

I live in Ohio and am a new grad myself. In Ohio you must pass the NCLEX-RN exam and pay for an Ohio license. I don't know how it works in FL, but if you take NCLEX in FL, I think you should just be able to apply for an Ohio License. You might want to check out the website for the Ohio Board of Nursing. It is nursing.ohio.gov I hope that helps you get some information. Good luck.:)
That helps alot, i will do that, we have to take the NCLEX here to get our license, so just paying for the license fee in Ohio would be ideal....
Good luck in your new adventrues as a new grad!
Where in Ohio are you at?
Glad to be able to point you in the right direction. I am in north central OH, about an hour from Columbus.
