Hello New Grads-
I have been out two years and have been working most of that time. A couple of my classmates were dangling and have finally secured full time positions 15 months + after graduating a BSN program? Wow.
How is the market where you are? Are they still mainly looking for per diem and experienced nurses or have things started to open up for new grads? Are you still applying? Did you take a part time job or a job that wasn't your dream job to pay the bills?
I have been keeping my eyes on a few job markets and it seems that there are now a few more full time openings but still a lot of per diems. I would appreciate it if you would list the city you are in... and the month and year you graduated... also did you complete a bachelors, associates, or diploma program.
Thanks!

Graduating in December from an ADN, but a 2nd bachelor's student. I am moving from this area, but Northern California is hiring more and more. At least 6 of my 47 classmates already have RN jobs and more are in the process of interviewing. It is still mainly per diem and experienced, but I hope the tide is turning. Fingers crossed!
