Does anyone else in an ACNP program have to take pediatric health assessment and/or demonstrate a physical exam on a peds patient?
Our program is trying to tell us that the physical assessment course must be "across the lifespan" for accreditation reasons. I don't know that this is correct. We are trying to fit both peds and adult into each body system and I find it immensely annoying, since I have no interest/skills with peds. Also we have to find a kid to do a H&P on for the final assignment, and I don't have any or know anyone with one!
The SRNA, FNP, NNP, PNP and ACNPs are all taking the same course - seems ridiculous to me.
