Taking the NCLEX-RN exam in a few months.

Published

Hi! I will be taking the exam this Spring. I would like to ask some tips on passing the NCLEX-RN exam first take. What would be the best Online Review/Q&A I could use which really helped you gain confidence in passing the exam?

I would really appreciate your comments. :)

for content i read saunders and hurst book (just the content of hurst forget about the questionnaire since i checked some of the answers from brunner and its off from merely being the right answer).

some says kaplan is better than saunders and hurst. so u have to pick which one u feel like helping you and stick with it. if you only have one content book then u wont make urself confuse about the topic.

ncsbn is a must since i found few of my questions before that is too close to the real nclex exam.

thank you anne. your post is of big help.

I used/am using:

Saunder's 5th ed - content & practice questions (esp. the alternate-format)

Kaplan 2011-2012 - strategies

LaCharity's PDA 2nd ed - for prioritization, delegation and assignment questions

NCSBN - practice questions and some content

Exam Cram - practice questions

Kaplan Qtrainers - practice questions

3500/4000 - practice questions

Good luck in your studies! :) We can do this!

Will take it next week. Praying for positive results. And yet I'm really freakin' out (I guess that's normal for everyone hehe). :)

I just passed my NCLEX yesterday with the quick result, my best friend said it would be the best $7.95 you will ever spend in your life, and it was! I just want to let you know that this book provides comprehensive content review and the questions that were asked of me on my exam day came from this book. It prep me for it, you just never know what questions they're going to ask you, so study every chapter, and I mean every chapter. I also used the strategies book by Kaplan and that helped too, because it taught me how to think like a nurse. Just study hard and you will pass. I studied like 8 hrs a day for 7 weeks. I got a bad cold two days before the exam and because I couldn't sleep two nights in a row, I ended up sleeping for 30 minutes before waking up to get ready to take the test. I used the night doing more question review. If you get sick several days before the exam and couldn't sleep like me, I recommend rescheduling because my brain was killing me in the exam room, I spent like almost three hours on 75 questions. I went home thinking that I failed. That's plenty of my story but overall, I want you to pass your test and Saunders will help you prepare adequately for it. Good luck!

Hi! congrats to those who recently passed the NCLEX-RN. I kinda need help, I'm currently reading the Saunders Comprehensive Exam & I would want to purchase an online Q&A. Which one would you recommend the NCSBN or the Kaplan Q-bank?

I only have a month and a half left for me to review before the big day & i would would want to know what's the best online Q&A.

Thank You! :)
