Posting for a little emotional support! I graduated from school May 1st 2016, and I had my Kaplan Prep course the following week. Took the diagnostic on May 6th, which said I had a 98.6% chance of passing.
Since then I have used both Lippincott's NCLEX prep book and Kaplan. My scores are:
QT1: 58.7%
QT2: 56%
QT3: 49%
QT4: 58.7%
QT5: 64%
QT6: 56%
QT7: 55%
Q Banks- 57% overall, did 47% of all questions
I've remediated all my tests but unfortunately did not get to the readiness test. I'm too fatigued and planned on taking the day before (tomorrow) off from questions.
I just need someone to tell me I'm not going to completely fail based on my scores?! I've never felt this anxious in my life.
Tips would be great on trying to relax. I just feel I can't possibly retain anything else in my brain at this point.

I graduated May 6th and have been using Kaplan as well our scores are very similar and I took the readiness test and got a 72%...so I assume you would have scored around the same! Breath you are gonna do great! - I am taking mine on Saturday. Good luck and keep us posted on how it goes :)

I didn't do Kaplan so I can't speak to that but I just wanted to say good luck! To both of y'all! Relax and know that you know more than you think you do. And that you're not going to know everything on the test! Y'all will do great [emoji5]ï¸
That does make me feel better, I've noticed that a lot of people do a quite a few percentage points higher on the readiness. Focusing on other school work not nursing related today and then gonna TRY to sleep at a decent hour. Thank you for your feedback! Good luck on yours as well... have to tell me how it goes!

I graduated May 8th and took the NCLEX yesterday. I used Kaplan to prepare.. completed 1150/1290 Qbank questions with a 62% average. I did 5/7 Question trainers. I got about 58% average on those. I remediated all my questions that I completed. I don't have my score yet, but I tried the PVT and got a good pop-up. I had 75 questions yesterday, mostly multiple choice, about 25 select all and 1 math question. Good luck. Let us know how it goes :)
I took the test in a little under 45 minutes, and it shut off at 75. I wasn't too nervous during it so I think that's a good sign. How long did you wait to do the PVT trick? And have you gotten your results yet? I am so confused on how to look up my license on the state PA website.

No one can give you that false reassurance, nor should they. My cohort had students who did well on their Predictors (ATI), etc. and failed. We had others, one is a friend, who barely made it through and she passed NCLEX. It's all on you.
Good luck to you!
Just wanted to leave an update, I passed! Highly recommend using Kaplan and the Lippincott book!! Good luck to everyone still taking it. I really didn't think it was that bad!!!
Congrats that's awesome! I take mine tomorrow...any recommendations on what to do the day before & calm nerves??
Also how long did you wait to do the PVT trick?
I am currently taking another class so I just focused on that class the day before. And then I went to the movies that night to get my mind off of it! I had to take the train into Philly the morning before my exam and I got there WAY too early. But they let me go back so I didn't have a heart attack waiting lol. Take a deep breath before you answer your first question, the first 75 go in a blink of an eye. Treat it just like another kaplan. Your best is good enough so don't freak yourself out halfway through! You made it through nursing school, you can do it! For the PVT trick, you used to be able to put a fake credit card number in but now you can't. And when I put my real one in, I didn't get the good pop up (put I passed). Don't do it, it'll just freak you out! Good luck to you!!
