Niu's nursing program is notoriously competitive to get into. So since they base their admission off of GPA with the most prerequisites done then you probably think your only option is to get as many of the classes as you can get done and still try to be a competitive applicant out of 1200.
But to also be a competitive applicant you should not rush your prerequisites, get the highest grades you can get, and take your time by just taking micro in the spring. You classeload this fall already seems heavy enough without the bonus stress that is to come.

I plan on transferring to Northern Illinois University. They require at least 5 of the 9 prereqs completed by the time of submitting an application.
My current schedule for the upcoming semester looks like this: A&P II, Med Term, Psych, Stats
Should I add Micro on top of that all or will that be too much? If I take Micro in the fall, I'll have all of the prereqs done except one by the time of submitting my application. If I wait to take it until the spring, I'll have 7 of the 9 prereqs done.
Obviously, the more prereqs you've completed the greater chance you have of getting accepted. And I definitely want to get accepted! I'm just a little worried about keeping my good grades.
I'm currently getting a 3.9 GPA and a 4.0 in my prereqs. I currently do not work because I had surgery on my wrist. I am planning on volunteering at the hospital a few hours a week in the fall and I want to work, though if my school schedule is too tough I don't have to.
Should I go for the crazy schedule to increase my chances of getting accepted? Is it worth it? Or do you think I should wait until the spring to take Micro?
