Taking the HESI A2 AGAIN...

Published

So, I took the HESI the first time on June 25th and I didn't pass. My Math and Anatomy scores were what knocked me down and I know those are like the two most important things! (my school doesn't test on the Physics, Biology, Chemistry..etc. only Grammar, Vocab, Reading, Math and Anatomy). I studied and reviewed for a long time prior to the test and the study book I had was just one from Amazon so it wasn't the Elsevier one. It had several errors/typos and it really did not explain the layout of the test or what to expect. I was caught off guard by the fill in the blank questions and had to guess on a lot of other questions. I also took it very early in the morning and I couldn't sleep the night before. I also worked the night shift at my job which was clearly a bad choice. (I am definitely not blaming these factors for my failing, although I do believe they may have contributed)

This time, I am not working the night before and I am not taking the test as early as I did the first time, but I could still use some pointers and advice from anyone who has taken it and passed! Is it very uncommon for someone to fail the first time? What is wrong with me? :sorry:
