Take off your pants...

I came across this some time ago. I often show it to residents I work with and think it ought to be required reading in Medical and Nursing School.

It's the best description of what it's like to be a patient that I've ever seen.

I love it! I would have loveddd to be the nurse in that room and witness that first hand. I LOVE when patients put MDs in their place :)

she posted an outline of what happened and side effects from treatment. i am enjoying reading her blog. it is giving me the view of the patient and how they feel. Being an ICU RN our mindset is so much in what do we have to do to stabilize the patient right now. We start pressors and wean them off as soon as possible because we know the effects these have. but then they get transfered to rehab and we dont see the patient recovering from everything we did to them to keep them alive.

Reading this blog paints a great picture of the hospital and rehab though the eyes of a patient.
