Here is the list of approved RN programs from the TXBON with notations on LVN-RN where available - http://www.bon.state.tx.us/nursingeducation/edudocs/rnschools.pdf

I don't know anything about San Antonio programs, but if you visit the TX Nursing Programs section in the regional part of this board, you might get a little more location-specific information - TX Nursing Programs Discussion - Nursing for Nurses

If you're amenable to a commute, Victoria College - Gonzales campus offers the LVN-RN bridge program pretty reasonably priced that has two sessions - Fall and Spring (HomeThe Victoria College) ... but you might find more success at one of the programs in San Antonio simply to save on the cost of time/gas in a commute.

HTH!

I, too, am researching this as a soon-to-be lvn student.

I think San Antonio College has the cheapest LVN-RN bridge program.

Then Baptist School of Health Professionals.

I think UT Health Science Center discontinued theirs? That's what their website said.

University of Incarnate Word has a bridge program.

I think Galen would be the most expensive, along with Incarnate Word, but you only get and Associates with Galen.

thanks,, so much u guy,,i ll be san antonio next week..good luck

That was so very helpful arlel58! Thank you. Can you tell me if you took the NACE exams and how it was? I am considering them and am going to find a proctor. Did you have any problems finding a proctor? Are they pretty good to work with you?
