Hi,
I need to take blood pressure on a patient's forearm, but I don't know which direction I should place the cuff and where to put my stethoscope.
Thanks

find the radial pulse, and the place the "artery" arrow on the cuff over the radial artery. then place your stethoscope and take the blood pressure how you normally would. I actually had to do this when I went through my home health rotation a lot d/t IV's/PICC lines that pts would have.

of course find the radial pulse and brachial pulse 1st!!
Thank you!
I tried to take my blood pressure on my forearm several times. I was unable to hear anything. Did I miss anything?
Try using the diaphragm side not the bell, close the valve. You should hear it. Try it on a friend, I find it hard to read on myself.
