Swedish nurse looking for Tallahassee colleagues.

Published

Hello American colleagues!

I´m a swedisch nurse and will move to Tallahassee with my boyfriend in the near future. I graduated last year and been working at an infection ward. Any Tallahassee nurses out there? Tomorrow I´ll call the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital to ask them if I could come and visit a ward around Thanksgiving. I´m very excited and hoping it´ll work out!

Hello. I'm not a nurse yet (graduate next April!), but I've lived in Tallahassee for almost 10 years. Would be happy to answer any questions you have. I also work at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, so I can share some info regarding that as well. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.

Hello Todd!

Thank you for writing back! My boyfriend and I just flew in to Tallahassee last night. We're here for Thanksgiving. It's my third time in Tallahassee and I like it a lot. So green and warm! The first snow came on the day we left Stockholm. The fall has been cold and grey, so it's a nice break to come here.

I've been in contact with nurse recruters at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital and they were glad to have me coming for a visit at a ward. I'll call them on Monday and see what day and time it'll happen. I've told them this coming Wednesday will be the best day for me. Are you working then? I'm so excited to see how american nurses work!

Glad to hear you enjoyed visiting Tallahassee. It definitely does have some nice points. How did your visit to TMH go? Have you decided if it's the place you want to work? You may also want to check out the other hospital in town, Capital Regional Medical Center. They have a brand new facility and I hear it's really nice.

If you have any questions, let me know!

Yep, I'm at FSU. I think you'll like MSICU if you end up doing your preceptorship there. I've learned a lot and there are some great nurses. I'm not planning on staying at TMH after graduation. Actually hoping to move out west.

Anyhoo...Hope you're enjoying your break from school. Take care! :)
