Swedish Institute?

U.S.A. New York

Hello everyone I am new to all nurses I wanted to know have anyone heard of The swedish Institute Nursing program? anyone apply? anyone attending? any info at all would be appreciated. :)

Oh yeah, the Bronx is definitely a hell of a commute! I don't think I could function after starting work at 6:45am and then going to class, so more power to you! It seems like the parking at the Queens campus might be a bit of a doozy as well. How long will it take you to get from the BX to QNS?

I've already told my coworkers to expect to see my door closed often. There will be plenty of naps happening throughout the day lol. The commute during the day is about an hour and 15 minutes or so. At night it's much longer. The parking looks obnoxious to me too but I figured since classes start at 430 I may luck up with people leaving spots. If I drove I'd be home in less than half an hour.

Ah, okay. That makes sense. Naps are certainly going to be a must for you. I hope you catch every parking spot if you do decide to drive lol.

Hi, I passed my NLN pax and I'm interviewing with the Dean. Are you acceoted in the school.

Yeah I actually decided not to apply there , after my friend told me what happened to her , she called like the first week of sept &’ the admission lady basically promised her to get her in on sept 9 which to me was so fishy . So then (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) Tells my friend that she has to take the NLN exam anyways to have on file which was 65 dollars and that she didn’t need to study because it was SOO easy so to come the next day. So my friend paid . Didn’t even study cause she didn’t have time and she was promised acceptance to the school. My friend took the test and got an 100 I believe which was failing because she was supposed to get like a 114 or 116 I forgot. And then (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) tells her that since she failed the test she couldn’t start the nursing program . So she had to wait 30 days to re take it . Or if she was interested in another program in their school ?? she lies to her the whole time !

Oh no that's horrible. I got accepted into the program. Lets see how it goes from here on. I wish that I would get feedback from the students that have recently attended the program.

Congrats and Good luck ??

It was not to bad as long as you buy the book to study. The first time I didn’t study, I failed with a 119 passing score is 120. You need to wait a month to re-take it I studied for 3 days then I passed. The interview was ok but the will review every single document that you submit for the interview.

Thanks. 120? I called a few days ago and a rep said 114 or 116, one of them. He also said that you could retake it ASAP??‍♀️. How long was the process? Did you do the interview yet? Typical questions? Are they still not accredited? You think it’s worth it? Tuition?etc... Thank you. Appreciate it❤️

Hey. What exactly did you use to study for the exam? Only the book? What version? Thanks in advance.
