Survey MSN (Medical Staffing Network)

I've been an RN for 2 years, thinking about taking an assignment with this company. It would be $1500.00 take home per wk, about 50 miles from my house, which I already work in the city I would be working in, just in a different hospital. Too good to be true? Who likes/dislikes this company?

As an FYI, MSN is now owned by Cross Country. Yes, it could be too good to be true. If you are commuting from home, you are not eligible for tax benefits, and the amount they are quoting you as take home almost certainly includes a tax-free housing stipend and a per diem (M&IE).

Hey Ned, I am commuting from home. I don't know what it means that they are now owned by cross country. I got offered the 1500/wk take home. I guess I should wait until I see a contract to take it.

FYI means for your information. I don't know what that means to you either. Some travelers won't work for them. They are the second largest agency in the country.

They cannot promise you a certain amount after taxes. That is the too good to be true because you are not eligible for the special tax treatment they used to estimate take home. Your take home is likely to be $300 less a week than quoted.
