supplies

Nursing Students LPN/LVN Students

Published

I start my first week of LVN school on Monday (27) and I was wondering from some who are already in or who have graduated if there are any specific MUST haves or other supplies that were really helpful/essential for the classes. Anything helps! :)

A good supply to purchase would be a NCLEX book. I wish I would have bought one in my first semester of nursing school. It will help you focus on what's important If you go through the related chapters before you read your textbooks. Also it will help you adjust to the critical thinking type questioning style you will see on tests from your instructors

Thank you! I never thought to buy a NCLEX now (I start sept 10) but it makes sense. Which NCLEX book do you recommend? I'll be hitting the book store tomorrow for sure!

Thanks so much for the info! I'm ordering it now!

Index cards. Lots and lots of them

I agree Saunder's comprehensive review is a good book. I like that they have separate sections and the end of each chapters for the drugs related to that topic.

Our program comes with an internet based program that has thousands of different NCLEX questions. I've heard its really awesome! :)

I agree with jaycee15! INDEX CARDS!!!

I ended up purchasing a binder with divider tabs, and I divide each chapters notes like that so that I can pull what I need to study when I need to. That's helped alot :)

I agree as well with the NCLEX study guide, my school also gave us a code for 3000 online practice questions as well as :)
