Suny Delhi RN to BSN students

Nursing Students Online Learning

Published

I am currently taking the orientation course online and am about to start my first nursing courses soon. I am curious if there any other Delhi students or alumni out there that could give some advice or suggestions. I am a little nervous about some of the courses and especially doing it online and just looking for a little reassurance. Thanks in advance!

I was just accepted into the fall program. I'm so excited to start! How is it so far? I'm curious to see any responses :) good luck with the program!

So far the orientation course is pretty easy to navigate. It familiarizes you with APA format (uggh) and reinforces what plagiarism is and how to avoid it. It is 7 wks though! I think that just changed this semester, it used to be 11 days. I registered for summer and fall classes, so anxious to actually start the nursing courses. Good Luck!

Ok thanks for the info! I'm nervous to start at all! :)

Hi Cmmny. Congrats on your enrollment to Delhi. Ive been a student there since Fall 2010. I absolutely love the program. I mean it works for me since I would rather be at home and not in classroom and I also dont have to fight with my manager for particular days off lol. As far as the program goes, the professors are very much involved with your progress and concerns than you may think. They are very timely when answering any of your concerns. My first semester i took Statistics and was completely confused about the whole concepts and i must say that the professor i had was very patient and was able to send helpgul material and documents that would make it easier to understand. Just be prepared for writing APA papers, quizzes and discussion questions aka DQ. With the DQs it is basically considered calss participation so make sure you dont give one word/sentence answers and try to be thorough so that u can get all of your points. On that note I am a great supporter of SUNY Delhi and was very excited to know that the BSN program had received accreditation from NLNAC. i should be graduating summer 2012 and hopefully by that time there will be an MSN program in place (thats my dream, but hey u never know) LOL..So good luck to Cmmny on your studies...if u have any other questions feel free...
