I'm looking for others applying to the UB ABS nursing program for this coming May. Past classes have helped each other out and kept each other updated on important information and I'd like to get that going for the May 14 hopefuls!
I got my BA quite a while ago, but I don't think they will hold age against you. Your grades are excellent and as long as we all meet the requirements they will choose based on grades and strength of essays. At the information session they said they put more emphasis on prereq GPA than overall, so I'm holding out hope for that. I got my bachelors from UB so maybe they will like that too...we will see! It seems like its taking forever waiting for a decision.
Everything I have heard says that they send an email, and to check your mail very carefully as it doesn't really stand out. From past classes, it sounds like it is sent out around the 20th of December. Ack!
Jjmm- where were you accepted for your ADN? I did a semester of Trocaire's program, liked it. I stopped for family reasons and am torn now between finishing up there or doing the BSN in a year (should I be accepted).
scanders77 I was accepted at ECC for January. It would take longer to get the degree but I could work per diem probably since it wouldn't be as intense as the ABSN, but I like UB and really want to do a BSN quickly. My gpa isn't as good as other applicants though so we will see. Did you like Trocaire? I thought about applying there but I didn't think I could afford it as I have student loans already from my previous degree. I can't wait until mid-December, I want to know already!
Hi guys! I also applied to UB ABS for this coming May, it's only Dec 2... So anxious! I'm kind of tempted to call or email them, but don't know what to ask, lol! From previous year threads people got their acceptance letters around Dec 22. I was expecting an interview, but I guess they don't invite everybody. Did anyone go to the interview?

Is anyone else applying while finishing their undergrad? I'm worried I don't have enough life experience since I'm only 21.
