Stars that is cold.  Glad the knee is better

Hi Tweety

Was up early yesterday to join the birdwatching group for the last scheduled event.  Weather was nice but birds were few

Ran some errands the rest of the day...got the car washed and stopped at the grocery store and vacuumed.  Had lunch with dad.  Came home and exercised and watched Svengoolie, or at least most of it

Since I was at church twice last week going to skip church today and go birdwatching instead.  Not much else planned for today, might work on my shopping list and exercise later.

Going to be a bit warmer today, in the upper 70s  although just in the upper 50s now

It was cool and windy yesterday. The cottonwood trees are shedding their "cotton" and it's annoying. My eyes were irritated, and I inhaled some, and coughed and coughed. We attended the local parade to watch youngest grandson march in his middle school band. My and dd's  former high school band marched too, and they looked pretty good. We stopped for sub sandwiches, and I came home and took a 3 hour nap! Of course, I had trouble sleeping.

Today is cool, again. I am going to try to motivate dh to do his repairs in the travel trailer. I think he has a touch of ADHD. He starts many projects, but doesn't finish any of them. And never puts anything away. Oh, well. There are worse things in life.

I booked a vacation cabin at Mt. Rainier for 4 days in August. Youngest ds and I like to go and hike. We usually camp, but most of the campsites are already booked. And I'm getting too old to cook outside in the rain, and walk to the potty in the middle of the night.

We are also going to Vermont at the end of July and I need to get flight tickets and a place to stay. I've been trying to get dh to commit to a timeframe, and that's like nailing jello to the wall (see above comment about ADHD).

And I feel old today. Eldest ds is 44 yo today. How the heck did that happen? He is in Canada for the weekend. We'll likely get together later this week for cake or pie.

Gray and rainy, not terribly cold, although it is 52 degrees; it is not windy. Tomorrow there is rain and thunderstorms predicted, but it will be 62 degrees. We'll see.

Braves lost last night; tonight's first pitch is at 7:20 PM.

After I got Nannie up, I found I had to clean an enormous amount of BM that was all over her butt, pads, and pull-ups. Whoop-dee-doo-doo! Then I did my janitorial chores (emptying trash), and went out to holler to hubby who is out in the Ford, that he has let himself run out of Pepsi Zero. I ain't a'goin' out to get it....unless when he comes in he is staggering.

Hey, j22, I almost moved to Vermont once. I applied for a hospital job as a float. When my Mom and I drove up there so I could have my interview, first we went out looking for an apartment, which we found, for a great rent, and a in decent neighborhood.  Then we went over to the hospital. I was crushed when they explained to me they were hiring for Med/Surg, and that MAYBE I could float once in a while. I told them I had specifically wanted to be a float, to expand my experience, but they said, 'sorry.' And when I walked out of the hospital, the moment my mom saw me she knew something was wrong. When I got to the car I was crying. So we went back to the landlady's home and she very graciously gave me back my deposit and 1st month's rent. She felt so sorry for me because I was still crying. We drove back to Mass., and she gave me a pep talk about "When one door closes, another one opens." I think that was when I got a job at a smaller hospital in a suburban town outside of Boston. I got a job in the surgical step-down unit off the ICU, and was the Med Nurse primarily, and I did get to float to two other floors, as well. Had mostly a good bunch to work with on the other floors, and the floor I worked on mostly had a GREAT bunch of co-workers. And that was ..."once upon a time".

My knee is behaving (YAY!) and I'm going to be easy on it again today. Since I have to go up and down stairs many, many times a day anyway, I hope the knee stays quiet. I think I mentioned that I now (try to) remember to take my arthritis med earlier in the evening (8 PM-ish), instead of at bedtime, to give it a head-start. So far, so good.

I have heaps of stuff to shred, but I don't want to do that today, because it will make my back ache, and who needs that?!

So, all for now, I suppose-------
