Stars hope it was a quiet day for her

Hi Tweety

Busy day for me. Went to the Arboretum in the morning, wasn't there long as it was cloudy and there weren't many birds.  Then spent some time at a local protest.  Then met my dad for lunch as usual.  Then hosted a dinner for the over 50 group, same restaurant as last time and the same one I was at with D and the minister on Friday.  A few people cancelled earlier that day, but of the remaining 8 only 1 failed to show up.  Was a good event, conversation seemed to flow without me needing to intervene to keep things going

Today will usher and church and then do the cooking for the week, will try not to schedule too much given how busy yesterday was.  Took the time this morning to actually cook breakfast...eggs, grits and toast...instead of my usual blueberry muffins

Will be in the upper 60s today with storms in the later morning and afternoon

Hallo ~

Unfortunate beginning to the day....went down to get coffee and feed Momo, and there was Nannie, wide awake, in the doorway of her room. For breakfast, I gave her yogurt and juice; we are out of BOOST. I left a text with SiL but haven't had any response.

After I gave Nannie the meds and yogurt, I came back upstairs to take my meds and ease my aching bones/joints in bed until the meds kick in, Momo is still down in the den; hasn't approached her breakfast dish because Nannie is in the room.

I reckon I have to get dressed and get Nannie dressed. While I have Nannie out of the den, Momo will eat.

S'gonna be 80 degrees with what looks like on the map to be intermittent thunderstorms; and same for tomorrow.

One more day of Nannie-in-the-recliner-all day-and-evening, and tomorrow she goes back to day care. Whew!

Gonna get some tickets for whichever 'draw' is biggest; it isn't NC MegaMillions, it is the other one. Oh for a win!

SiL showed up at noon and said she came over to give Nannie a shower and do her hair. But, she isn't taking Nannie over to her house for the day. 😒 AND, to top it all off, she is going to work tomorrow morning, which means I have to get up early to get Nannie up and ready to go with BiL at 8:45 AM. SiL told me some stuff about her schedule which I didn't really understand, because she talks so fast and low. But, she said, "I'm working on it, I promise," In other words, she is officially 'part-time', but often works half-days, so she can end up working 5 days a week, which, if she goes in early it mucks up MY 'schedule', and I guess that is what she is working on, I told her "Repeat after me: "NO" , and MEAN IT!" I used to see my office's number on the caller ID, and I'd pick up the phone and sweetly say, "No." and they would cry, "Oh, please!"

She is jabbering as she does Nannie's perm and I confess I only know vaguely what she is talking about. But when she says "D'you know what I mean?" I just say, "Uh-huh." even though I don't. (Kinda like I do with Nannie.) But I DO need to get my hearing aids cleaned and re-set (whatever re-set means) because I think my hearing is getting worse. I wish they weren't the kind that goes behind the ears, but 'they' say the ones that fit IN the ear, are not the kind I need. PHOOEY! I don't care if they are visible, I care that they STAY IN MY EARS, and when my hair brushes against that thing that goes behind your ears, THAT's what I hear the 'best', and I don't like it!

OK, enough, enough, enough!

After SiL left, Nannie got mad because she thought she was going to be taken out in the car. Her mood became fouler as the day went on. She was shouting at me, told me I was a big pain in a horse's rear end, and what the heck ......why are you here, anyway!?She wanted to go HOME! It got pretty ugly, and I finally got up and leaned in about two feet from her face to answer her questions because she wouldn't stop talking and I told her I needed for her to listen to me, but she said she didn't have to listen to anything I had to say, so, I raised my voice and she raised her eyebrows. The rest of the afternoon she was going to go SOMEWHERE, she was bound and determined. She went back and forth to the bathroom half a dozen times by herself because she didn't want me to touch her! And then, every time she got up, Momo barked at her. It was nice to have someone on my side! 😋

I walked Nannie in the driveway 5 'laps' to the road and back, and she wanted to know why I was doing this to her. I said she had some mean energy she needed to walk out of her system.

It quieted down some when the local news came on, and I made her supper......when I put her tray in her lap, she told me she was NOT hungry. But then she ate every single scrap on her tray. 🙄

Anyways.....ARGH! She is now treating me like she used to treat her son (my hubby), which is not very nice. I hope tomorrow at the daycare center puts her in a better mood. I have to get up early so BiL can get her at 8:45 and drive her to her day.care. I should get combat pay for today; she didn't hit me but acted several times like she wanted to.

Got her in bed. Momo didn't eat anything today and I could hear her stomach rolling and rumbling.I hope she is better tomorrow.

Oh! I have to go get my new tires at the dealership at 1:30 tomorrow! Better set my alarm clock.

Boy, am I ever GLAD today is over.
