Went out bird watching yesterday morning but didn't see many birds.  Stopped at the farmer's market on the way home and got some zucchini and mushrooms.  Then met dad for lunch

Given the storms expected last night and that we were planning on an outdoor concert for our 2nd date, we decided to change plans and instead meet next weekend for a walking architectural tour

Rest of the day was fairly quiet.  Watched part of Barbie, it was clever but after a half hour or so I lost interest.   Watched part of Svengoolie wasn't bad

Today have church and then cooking for the week.  Rest of the day should be pretty ordinary

Will be much cooler today, in the lower 80s

I heard a phone ring at 8 AM and I called out (like I used to do when hubby was alive) "It's for you!" Then I realized it was my phone, and looked at it, which told me "Potential Spam". Back to sleep, then up at 10 AM to feed Momo, and back to bed. Got up and dressed at noon, when I heard a sound that was like a spoon being thrown into the kitchen sink; never could figure out what it might have been!

SiL showed up with a box of Nannie's pads and a carton of BOOST; then she said, "I'll go ahead and get Nannie up and dressed while I'm here."  (I said, "YAY! I will love you forever!") Tomorrow she will take Nannie to the hand specialist to see what he says. She told me that Nannie's fx is at the "carpel area", but I had thought it was on the other side (?). I told SiL to ask for a smaller, thinner cast, if she still needs a cast.

SiL said her problem with her hip is that (she was told) the bursa sac "busted", or ? it might be sciatica. She says the chiropractor helps "a little bit". She may be told to no longer do certain things....like part of her part-time job with the ABC Stores is unloading heavy cartons of booze from the truck to the store-room. Can't imagine why she's doing THAT with this hip pain, but I'd say it would be a good idea NOT to carry or lift any heavy boxes! Not sure if she's had any tests like MRI or whatever.

Temp today predicted to be 94 with a feels-like of 104, and a 51% chance of rain or a thunder storm. It is kind of smothering and oppressive outside, but the sun is mostly "VERY BRIGHT OUT THERE" as Nannie scientifically proclaims. Lots of strong breezes are bouncing the tree limbs and leaves around.

We've been watching TV and I  had put this laptop down for a good while, and just found out I hadn't finished posting. Plus, I almost just asked Nannie what she wanted for supper, but when I looked at the clock, I realized we ate two hours ago! I am lost in time and space!

I'd better sign off now. I have to get things ready to go for the trip to the bank tomorrow; my laptop is filthy!

Lots of weather changes today. Overcast, then rain showers, windy, sunny, now sunny and windy. I would mind if it was a few degrees warmer than 69. After breakfast at the diner (crispy buttermilk waffle, yum!), I spent most of the day in the yard. Weeding, planting impatiens and marigolds, watering my zinnia seedlings. This afternoon, I was on the roof of the travel trailer scrubbing off the crud and spruce needles. I plan to order pizza for dinner.

I've had both sciatica and hip bursitis. Sciatic pain burns, and runs down the middle of your bum and down your leg. Sometimes PT can help. The therapist was sure I had a bulging disc pressing on my spinal cord. Turns out, my bike was misfitted and irritating my SI joint.  Once I got the bike refitted, the pain abated.   The hip bursitis, which was a sharp pain right over my greater trochanter,  was fixed with PT and a series of exercises and massage.
