Tweety I hope you friend's husband recovers from that infection.  Sorry to hear about the loan denial

Stars I hope she naps too

Ado sorry to hear that that patient passed away

Went out bird watching yesterday but saw no birds.  At least it was sunny and not too cold

Otherwise a fairly ordinary day.  Ran some errands.  Had lunch with dad.  Watched part of Svengoolie

Today skipping church to attend a coffee event with the over 50 group.  Have to leave a bit early as I have to lead this group as the person who was hosting it came down with Covid.  Thankfully a small group, 3 or 4 people

Will do the cooking for the week beforehand.  Afterwards will do an online CEU and also get signed up for a new dating app, might do a new dating site too or might save that for the week

Going to get up to the mid 30s today, some snow expected but not too much

Good Morning!

Joe, hope you have a good day.  Respiratory ailments seem to be plaguing us down here as well.  It wasn't a loan but just financial assistance I was after since my insurance deductible is $6,000.  Many people here got assistance and since it was there, I thought I would try.  G got some because of being displaced.  I have excellent credit and it's almost too easy for me to get loans.

It's a chilly for us 45 degrees right now.  We've been having some below average temps for a while.  I'm ready for a 70 degree day myself.

Going to hot yoga and really don't have a lot planned for the rest of the day.

Today we start the day with a leaking faucet in the upstairs bathroom. I used to be able to get the slow drip shut off by giving the cold water tap an extra push, but this morning that did nothing to "stem the flow". It is dripping at a pretty good clip and I can't get the under-sink shut off valves to budge an inch, so I had to send BiL a message about it. He said he'd come look at it, but I am not sure when that will be, I am just afraid the definitely increased 'dripping' will hike up the water bill (which BiL pays). Meanwhile I have to cut my morning lolling in bed with coffee short; I'd better get dressed and clean off the sink of the tumble of stuff on the counter, and pull stuff out from under the sink to give a clear passage to the shut-off valves for both faucets.  Hate having plumbing problems, it is a pain in the butt, and me a plumber's daughter, can't take care of it.

So, I'll be back later and let ya know about what happens to 'cure' the problem.

Just the same as with a car problem, the mechanic looks at it and the car doesn't do what it was doing, to make you notice the problem in the first place. But, BiL fiddled with the taps and said he thinks it is just the old rubber whatchamacallits that are probably dried up, and he can go to Walmart and get what he needs. But at least it isn't dripping and drizzling out as fast as it was! Losing 2+ cups of water per hour will still raise the water bill by a LOT!

Funny, but as usual, during the discussion BiL and I were having about the plumbing, Nannie naturally had to draw the conversation immediately  to her SHOES! 🙄 Plumbing has nothing to do with her shoes, I told her; but that didn't stop her from talking about her TWO shoes and the TWO socks and TWO pant-legs! She had to pull up her pant legs one at a time to show us where the socks stopped and her leg was above that. I wonder why it is such an obsession with her?! Even though she always says she was born double-clubfooted, and it's true, she WAS, it's like she almost refuses to admit that the 4 or 5 surgeries she had between birth and age 20 actuallyDID straighten her feet and ankles out and it all did work so well, that after the last one, that no one can tell she ever had any problems with her feet at all. But that was her "identity" when she was growing up, so I guess that is why it becomes foremost in her mind; it USED TO get her a LOT of attention and it is disappointing to her that it doesn't continue to draw the same kinds of attention nowadays, 75 years later. Not much sympathy for something that happened so many years ago. Too bad, so sad; it is not a tragedy any more, and milking it for so long has the rest of the family rolling their eyes.

Anyway, BiL has gone, so I got Nannie dressed. She said "Oh BOY!" when I brought out one of her favorite blazers to wear, smiling and clapping her hands. She said "ooh, I LOVE this jacket!" I told her I knew that and that is why I put it on her. Too bad she wasn't as easy to please with everything else!

YAY! Nannie is starting to doze off! I had got her a small neck-roll pillow that has a long 'tail' that drapes over the top of the recliner so it stays in place. The little baby-pillow I had been using behind her neck seemed to always fall onto the floor when she turned her head one way or the other. This neck-pillow stays in place and is long enough to accommodate her head turning to either the left or right side. I love it when a plan works out!  She just opened her eyes and started frowning. I asked her what she was frowning about and she told me "Because I just woke up." So I adjusted the back of the recliner downward to put her in a more relaxing position. Maybe now she will STAY asleep for longer. One can always hope!

No laundry to do today, and only some of the silverware and breakfast dishes have to be washed up. I DO have to change the trash bags in several of the trash containers every day now. It is now about 2:30 PM and I have no idea what I might be inspired to do around the house, but I'm not worrying about any of it. I'm sure I will find something to piddle around with; there's only four rooms-worth of things that need to be attacked, so whatever I do will be fine. And if I end up doing nothing? Ppfftt! Who gives a happy hello whether I do or not.....just me.

So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!
