Hot and humid, no rain yet.
Woke up at 10:30 AM with my left shoulder screaming at me to "GET OFF ME!' I moved around, but still hurt, so I got up to take my AM meds. Momo told me I had to feed her her breakfast. When I came downstairs with Momo's food, there was Nannie up and walking around without her shoes on. I stuck her in the recliner and told her I had to go back to bed to wait for my pain meds to start working. Got back up at noon, dressed and come back downstairs. BiL was mowing the lawn, but Nannie did not who he was. She was also STILL stuck on talking about that plastic rod that opens and closes the blinds, which I have explained to her AT LEAST 3 dozen times in the last two days, making me CRAZY! 😝 😖 Her dementia continues to go downhill, so there is no hope that she will get off of her obsession with the blinds any time soon.
We have been watching HGTV as usual, but now the network news is on. I am cooking supper (ham steak, tater tots and spinach).
One hour later~ Served Nannie her supper and she started in on that 'thing' in the window, ( ie the stick that opem the blinds on the door) and again I told her it was part of the blinds and it's supposed to be there, so it will stay there. Then, when I got downstairs with MY supper and had just started eating, she kept on with wanting me to 'do something' about it. I told her I wanted to eat my supper while it was still hot, and maybe she can talk with her son about it the NEXT time he comes over. "When he is coming over again?" I don't know! By the time I got half-way through my meal, she picked up that subject again, when I opened my mouth to say something to her, ....I almost gagged, because I suddenly felt quite sick to my stomach. I sat and just breathed slowly to avoid puking. After about 10 minutes I realized I could not eat another bite with my stomach knotted up with irritation, so I took my supper upstairs and put it in the fridge, then went up to my room and took 1/2 Xanax. When I came back down to the den she was looking up at that "thing" and I told her to STOP looking at it, stop thinking about it, and stop talking about it. So now she's mad at me, but I hope that will mean I don't have to hear any more about it tonight. GADS! She really can push buttons, even though I know that's not what she is trying to do, but it is SO MUCH like the way she USED to be about things, deliberately, when she wanted something to be taken care of ASAP, pre-dementia diagnosis. She did it with all of us, and drove everybody crazy, so it ain't just me!
I am going to put my laptop away and do some crossword puzzles while she is watching this particular HGTV show, which we have seen three times, but which she does not remember seeing before.
TWO HOURS until Nannie's bedtime.
Just breathing and keeping my mouth shut.
Good evening.
Home now. Steady at work, but was able to flex a nurse home at 3pm.
Got some wind and rain from Debbie but by the time I got home it had settled down. Still windy out there, not sure if more rain is to come. There's some localized flooding though as it came down so hard and fast the drainage systems got overwhelmed in some areas. Thankfully not near me. A block from me are about 26 homes without power according to the app 24,000 in the county. I'm hoping a wind gust doesn't knock out my power but my last years hurricane lamps are still charged and ready.
This from the storm passing by. Feel bad for the people up north that will get the brunt of it.
Off for three days.

Diana it sounds like a good time
Stars sounds like you had a productive day
Tweety glad work was pretty slow
Did some bird watching in the morning, then ran some errands and had lunch with dad. Ran some more errands then baked cookies. Relaxed most of the rest of the day. Watching Outlander but skipped Svengoolie. I'm finding the problem with his show is that it's mostly reruns and I've seen most of the episodes multiple times
Slept better last night, no bad dreams, did wake up to hear the cat vomiting again but fell back to sleep. Will keep and eye on her and call the vet if this doesn't start resolving in the next few days
Today will be at church as assisting minister. Will do the cooking when I get home, as well as exercise. Will likely start the other CEU I need to renew my Michigan license next month
Will be a bit warmer today, in the mid 90s, so will likely mostly stay in
