Hi Stars

Ado hope your train wasn't too delayed

Tweety that does sound like a draining day

Dianah it sounds like nice weather for Disneyland

Dianah glad it was a pretty quiet day

Yesterday turned out to be a pretty good day after all.  In the morning went to the arboretum

Later the vet visit, which went easier than expected.  The vet said she seemed fine apart from some hair loss that was likely due to either stress or allergies or possibly OCD (which didn't know cats could get).  He's running some blood work to see if there are signs of allergies, or a thyroid disorder although he thinks this unlikely

Rest of the day was fairly ordinary.   Had lunch with dad, rode my bike, and watched Svengoolie

Today will do adult education and then church.  Will do some cooking and some research on bird watching groups in my area

Will rain today most likely, and be in the mid 50s

Hiya~

Got Nannie up a little early because there is a Braves game going to start soon. Even though she doesn't understand half of what she sees, she still likes to watch, because it is in color and a large screen. Last night she told us 'they' were going to give her some award for when she was on a baseball team. (uh, like, she NEVER was!) Anyway, as it did twice yesterday, the audio portion of the game is *Ppfftt!* The other channels DO have sound, so I know it is this a 'Bally Sports' problem. First pitch doesn't start for half an hour, so we are watching the pregame show which is a lot of jabbering and many little clips of the action from other games, so the station has that long to correct the sound problem.

The commercials, strangely enough, DO have sound. Nannie's 'favorite' commercial for Toyota, where the guy drives his car up beside an apartment building, and opens the sun roof, and his room-mate starts tossing his stuff out the window and it all goes into the car via the sunroof------she is convinced that the guy is a ball-player who she knows. She also fails to realize that the people in the commercial DON'T film the same thing over and over and over. It is getting to be a real trip to watch a game with her. UGH!

Hubby is out in the Ford, I dunno if he is napping out there or listening to his smart-phone. I won't say :  OR drinking, because we all know it's more of a likelihood than a maybe.

Welp, as we sit here in silence, the commentators are discussing yesterday's game. I think I will do some crossword puzzles to pass the time. Will come back by here later.

Hi. The diner was quite busy this morning. It's good to see a local business thriving. One of the local refineries is doing a "turn-around", leading to the prolonged work shifts, so some of the increased business is workers who have just got off work. It's been sprinkling rain off and on, so I didn't ride to breakfast, but I did walk the mile and a half home, up the hill. Gotta burn off that syrup I put on my delicious, crispy waffle.

Dh is talking to me again, no mention of what peeved him yesterday. He went to pick up his grocery order this morning. I have no idea if he did any sort of meal planning, he usually doesn't. He just buys stuff he thinks we need, and then leaves it to me to figure out what to cook.  But the fridge is stuffed, and the cabinets are overflowing, which seems to give him some sort of satisfaction. I just finished my last two chapters and quizzes for the gardening class. I still need to take a final, but it's open book, and I will do it when I'm home alone and won't get any distractions. We may drive to the tulip fields tomorrow, but rain is forecast for the rest of the week.

Wow, Got Nannie to go to bed at 8 PM, it made me so happy! She'd slept through the entire ballgame (we won 5-4), woke up for supper, and fell back to sleep, so it was easy to convince her she needed to go to bed.

Hubby's been very quiet tonight, but says he is okay except for the ribs on his right side are bothering him.

Watched the last hour of American Idol, and am now watching The ED Sullivan Show: The Rascals, Petula Clark, Eddie Fisher.....but, but, but, Richard Pryor is supposed to be on tonight, along with The Mamas and Papas and The Supremes. Nope. not on this show. Right now The Great Carzini (?) is on looking like a drunk and smoking through his ears and blowing it out his mouth; now pulling a long, long scarf out of his mouth and spitting out numerous eggs. Oh pleeeeease!

Sooo, I would say it is time for ME to go upstairs and get in bed!
