U.S.A. New Jersey

Hello everyone!

I'm just posting to see if anyone else is applying to this program at Rutgers. So many people are applying to the accelerated program, I'm worried they may wait list me due to low application drive. Is anyone attending the information seminar? Have you heard anything?

Good Luck!!

I'm already in the part time program currently (graduate Dec 2016). I know when I was applying I did not see any threads about the part time program at all, but everything worked out ok and after I got my acceptance letter is when I finally saw a thread about the program (go figure). Good Luck!!

Hello

Yes I actually applied in November but still in the process of verifying my transcripts ( my last one). Hoping to be done in the next two weeks. Did you submit your application?

Hi moniczka! Yep submitted my application around the same time. My application was already verified and I believe everything is already with the Rutgers. I spoke with the today actually and they said they won't be making decisions until April with classes beginning in late May. Are you still taking any classes?

Hi

How is the program? I am working full time and I know that Nursing can be very demanding. Is this actually doable when you work full time? I graduated from Rutgers in 2012 but I can not even compare a Psychology major to Nursing! Btw, Congrats on Your graduation!!!!

I am taking Chem II and I am in BCC school of nursing . I got in and decided to start the classes. Rutgers tole me that they will transfer up to 6 nursing credits. I am taking total of 8 and Chem II at the same time! Wish me luck! Where did you get your bachelor from? What was your major?

Whoa! That's a lot! Forget the good luck, God Bless you! Lol I had a pretty hard time managing Nutrition and Lifespan Development while working full-time. I guess it just takes some getting used to. Are you working full-time, as well? I graduated from Rutgers-New Brunswick with a B.S. in Public Health but I started out with a B.S. in Bio, so some classes I already completed.

Did you apply for any scholarships to pay for this program? We are obviously not eligible for grants so I am really hoping that I will get enough loans to cover the tuition. The first summer seems to be expensive( 3 classes). Did you ask them how many applications do they usually get? What are the chances of getting in?

I haven't yet. Have you considered any? I feel like there aren't many out there for students pursuing another bachelors. Yea the summer look brutal too. I feel like the summer may be broken up in two parts. Taking 3 classes at once over the summer seems pretty harsh. I heard the class size is typically fairly small since ppl don't usually want the part-time program.

Hello!!

So far I like the program. I work full time Monday-Friday, and I am able to make it work. We usually have classes on Thursday/Friday nights (5:30PM) and clinical on Saturdays. Then as you progress through the program they start bringing in clinical on Monday nights (5:30pm-11:30pm/12AM) or Saturday morning (depending on where you are placed) and classes on Thursday nights. The program is tough but definitely worth it, and as long as you plan out study days you should be fine working and doing the program. Good Luck!!

Did anyone just get that email that the Part time program is being shut down?! Has anyone called?
