Well gang, here we are, 4th of July weekend, sort of the high point of the summer season!! Hard to believe, huh??!!!
Anyway, my question, what is your favorite summer memory/place here in the good old Buckeye State.
One of mine, actually just happened the other night. Hot, hazy sticky typical summer night, we stopped at a little ice cream store adjacent to our city park. (Cambridge, by the way)
Anyway, my wife, youngest daughter and I came out of the store, and paused on the front porch, and this was where it got to me.
Hot and sticky night, around 10 pm, people walking in the park, a family sitting on a picnic table eating ice cream, fire flies out, the nearby baseball field lights on, the faint ping of a bat hitting the ball......oh baby, there' a nice mental picture that I am going to try to hang onto.
Gets the old B.P. down!!

:balloons: Just think Mike, the scene you described was repeated hundreds, even thousands of times over, in towns all over this country. I try and remember every single day what a wonderful life we have here in the USA. Have a Happy 4th! :balloons:

Mine also happened the other night, sitting out on my porch swing gossiping with the neighbors while the neighborhood kids and my own kids ride their bikes, play hide n go seek, and baseball. Then getting out the old pickle jars for the kids to catch the fireflies with.:) I live in a small town in northwest ohio and another favorite will be tomorrow on the 4th when we go to the park for a cookout and the kids play games and watch the fireworks.
