Hi! I'm looking at applying for student nursing externships/internships for the summer of 2018 before starting my senior year of Clemson's BSN program in the fall. However, I'm having a hard time finding information online. So I'm wondering if anyone has any input on 1) whether it's beneficial to take part in a nursing externship/internship before graduating with a BSN, and 2) what are some good nursing externships/internship programs, preferably in GA, NC, SC, or Tennessee?

Duke in Durham NC. You can search the hospitals job listings for externships.
You need a GPA of 3.5 but that seems to be required for those positions at other hospitals also.
I learned more in my internship/externship than any clinical or class. You will also build relationships with health team members.
Was your externship paid? Also did you apply for any other programs?
Yes I was paid as much as the pcas are (for me that was $13.30/h). I did not apply to others...this was the hospital system I wanted plus the closest. Good luck!
